Shwmae Day!
We took part in lots of Welsh activities today. We looked at Welsh colours in learn and wrote our weekend news in Welsh. We listened to lots of different Welsh music in our circle times and also had a Welsh themed bucket session focussing on Welsh weather. Da iawn Pawb!
We had great fun baking our own welsh cakes for Shwmae Day! Everyone got stuck in with mixing, rolling, cutting, baking and most importantly eating! π₯£ π We taste tested our Welsh cakes and some tasty Bara Brith! It was yummy π
Today we celebrated Shwmae Day! There was lots going on to mark this special day. We had a great discussion during our assembly around what makes us proud to be Welsh, explored people who promote Wales and its culture and we tried bara brith, which was a hit with Sharks! #ethicalinformedcitizens
In preparation for Shwmae day we have been researching Welsh artists. Our favourite was Gayle Rogers we loved the use of colour and decided to recreate our own pictures! #ethicsllyinformedcitizens
We found out about the human skeleton as part of STEM Friday, we had to make a skeleton, compare our heights, we measured our feet and make robotic hands. #ambitouscapablelearners
Dosbarth Rainbowfish cannot wait to meet our special visitor Baby Lewy next week! We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our literacy sessions and we have had our practise family visit this week and enjoyed every minute! Baby Lewy we cannot wait to meet you π
We have had great fun with our STEM activities today! We created an instructional video to show how to make a model of the digestive system! We loved it! Year 4 will be using these videos to help them in their STEM activity next week!
