Happy Together Learning For Life
Earlier this week Sharks took part in a Jubilee draw-a-long with Steve Antony. Having created awesome books such as The Queen's Handbag, Steve Antony read to us The Queen's Hat: a story both written and illustrated by him. He then taught us step by step how to draw the Queen and a Corgi dog. We enjoyed this work shop a lot!
We recited our Odes to Queen Elizabeth, rolled our very own Caerphilly Castle coin, ate ice cream and had a super trip today!
Dosbarth Starfish thoroughly enjoyed participating in The Literacy Shed's draw along with Steve Antony today. They have created drawings to Steve's book ''The Queen's Hat' with some learners even hiding the Butler for readers to find. Diolch Steve! #creativecontributors
Year 5 are working hard to prepare for our Jubilee Party on Friday! #ethicalinformedcitizens
Dosbarth Turtles have been learning about the Queen this week, ahead of her Platinum Jubilee. We have been learning songs, researching, writing fact-files and have been designing and making a new stamp. We have been #ambitiouscapablelearners
We were very lucky this week to have a visit from the Fire and Rescue Service, we had a story about a dragon and how to stay safe! Some of us would like to work for the fire service when we are older.#ambitiouscapablelearner
This week Dosbarth Seahorses have been exploring life cycles. We read the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, learned about butterflies in Attention Autism, and spent lots of time out in the allotments learning about plants and what they need to survive. 🌱
Dosbarth Sharks had an awesome visit to the Royal Mint learning lots about coins! We had an awesome workshop exploring coin design and a superb talk in the afternoon where the children were able to strike their very own FA Cup coin.
